Dear Humans,

Brady here. Don’t worry, Belichick is fine. I wanted the spotlight today. Human mom took this picture of me playing with a piece of trash. She gave it to me for her own entertainment. I go crazy for these pieces of trash. The only problem I face is that they get lost under the fridge way too easily.

Have a magical Monday.

Much love, Brady

Summer Fun at Hogle Zoo

Utah’s Hogle Zoo is one of Rachel’s favorite places to visit. Lucky for her, getting there only takes her about ten minutes and with her annual pass, she has the opportunity to partake in the member benefits.

Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, Hogle Zoo spans 42 acres in the foothills of the Wasatch mountains. As you can imagine, the views from the zoo are beautiful.

When Rachel learned that summer at the zoo came with something called Sunrise Safari, she was intrigued. Sunrise Safari is a summer program that allows members early access to the zoo on Saturday mornings. Complementary juice, coffee and light ‘breakfast bits’ are available while supplies last.

The breakfast bites this Saturday were donut holes. Danger for Rachel. Why free donuts continue to present themselves to Rachel over the past couple of weeks, she doesn’t know. Maybe the Universe is telling her that she has worked hard and deserves this sugary treat that she loves so much.

Okay Universe, she hears you and you win. Rachel enjoyed a small plate of donut holes on Saturday and enjoyed giving in to the sweet treat.

Another complementary treat for members, and something new for Hogle Zoo this year, yoga. Yes, please. This week, yoga was held at the Twiga Terrace, which is located in the African Savanna. Zoom in and take a closer look. Can you find it?

Each week the location for yoga is expected to change, as well as the yoga studio leading the class. This week, Salt Lake City’s Satori Yoga led the class.

The views and sounds from Rachel’s yoga mat were certainly unique Saturday morning. Enjoy a few of Rachel’s views below.

Another summer event that Rachel is looking forward to is the Chalk the Zoo event. Not only does she love art, but chalk art is a favorite. This coming weekend, she will have the opportunity to watch local chalk artists create animal-themed art throughout the zoo. A sample was on display this Saturday to remind guests of the upcoming event.

This coming weekend will be a busy one for Rachel with Chalk the Zoo and her June 5k, the Herriman Yeti 5k. She’s looking forward to a great week ahead and even better weekend as she counts down to her June 5k with a goal of running it under 30 minutes. Until next time, be well.
